I'm totally contradicting what I said in my last post but...
I JUST realized that I've met almost every frontman from bands that I unconditionally love. I met Alex Turner on the street in Williamsburg, NY. I met Kele Okereke finally at my seventh Bloc Party show. I met Paul Smith at my first concert when I was in 8th grade. I met Zach Condon at an Amoeba instore. I met Owen Pallet 2 years ago. I met Florence Welch and Charlie Fink in 2009, and finally I just met Laura Marling. For all of them I was extremely nervous and couldn't manage to convey anything close to how important their music means to me. But now when I think of all the bad things that happen to me, it's okay because good things like this happen to me. I'm so thankful.
People I still need to meet are Patrick Wolf, The Maccabees, Andrew Bird, Carl Barat(Pete scares me), Mystery Jets, Phoenix, Regina Spektor
Two Door Cinemas Club. I like them but not so much that I can listen to them every day. But after hearing this remix/cover I've grown more respect for them!

Alas Internet

I finally have internet again. I learned that it's hard for me to live without internet access. I couldn't look up things on wikipedia. I had to live in wonder. Then there's cooking. I couldn't look up a recipe with the ingredients that i had. etc.
So right now I'm youtubing and window shopping like crazy.

I love my break so far. Kristy came down from Minnesota so we did a lot. Dland, Ktown, melrose, Americana, and movies at Z's house. Its nice to be around good company and people who love you.
Right now I'm in Lake Tahoe. I'm going to be here for a week. I don't know what I'm going to do because my fam came up here to ski, but I hate skiing. I'll probably be playing in the snow by myself.

It's Winter Break!

Which means I can get back to watching Korean movies and dramas like a loser. I just finished watching this Korean movie called Baby and I. It may be one of my favorite Korean movies. It's about a tough 18 year-old high school kid, named Joon-soo, that always seems to cause trouble. Fed up with Joon-soo always getting suspended, his parents go away without telling him. Joon-soo decides to throw a party and goes shopping for groceries. Out of nowhere, a baby appears in his shopping basket wearing the name tag "Han Wooram" and a letter saying Joon-soo is his father. Joon-soo takes the baby home and tries to find the baby's real parents. He even tries to abandon the baby but always fails. Just when he grows attached to Wooram, he finds the real parents.
The baby is wayyy too adorable!! He's half Korean and half Canadian. The half asian and half caucasian babies are always so cute.
Now I'm watching Someone Special. Someone please remember to take me out to a social outing every once and a while. Thanks.

Stop and Smell the Flowers
Today I took a well needed walk home. It was great. For those 3 miles I was in my own world. I probably looked like a nut to those who were driving past me because I was stopping to picking up leaves and was making a leaf chain. I don't think I will never grow out of some things like playing with flowers and leaves. The grayness of the sky, raindrops on tiny bright-green leaves, the smell of rain, and moss on the rooftops refreshed me. I pretended I was walking home in a small English town. Why not? All the streets are English streets and a lot of the houses are Tudor. Well there's a mixture of styles. I find the inconsistency of the styles kind of annoying. There are colonial, asian, spanish, and english style houses. I hate colonial styled houses. Anyways, it was good.
Yesterday I got kick-ass boots. All I can think about is that when I go to concerts now, there's a chance I can actually see past people's shoulders. :P

Something to Look Forward To
I'm about to piss myself I'm so excited. I'm literally shaking because I just bought tickets to see Mumford and Sons!! I'm waiting for Laura Marling tickets to go on sale as well. I've been waiting for this day ever since I half saw them both in Edinburgh summer of 2008. I wasn't satisfied at that gig! This drunk Scottish girl kept trying to talk to me, and I had to leave half way in Laura's set to catch a train back to Glasgow where I was staying with family friends. :(
It was my first time seeing Laura Marling live and Mumford and Sons opened (of course) for her. I never heard of Mumford and Sons before, they were seriously one of the best openings I've ever seen. Then I was amazed when they played with Laura during her set. Marcus Mumford amazes me. He's so freaking talented. Him and Laura make such a great team! SOOOO EXCITEDDD. These kinds of things really help me get through school.
I am thankful for the people in this world that make beautiful music. I really am.
This is not relevant, but my 4 year-old nephew that lives in Brooklyn called me today to sing me a song. It made my day! It's weird because I haven't really seen him, and my sister tells me he keeps asking for Tita (auntie in talalog) DiAndra.
